Notes on the transcribed records of the First Presbyterian Church, Livermore, California

A number of pre-1910 records of the First Presbyterian Church of Livermore have been transcribed, including baptisms from January 1872 through August 1909 (with additional information from the California Death Index), marriages from April 1891 through January 1908, and deaths from May 1900 through December 1907. Unfortunately, this seems to be all of the pre-1910 information that is available.

Note that the information was read from the original handwritten records. No attempt to correct spelling errors was made. Therefore, the names and dates may not match exactly between the Presbyterian records and other local records.

The records were transcribed by Richard Finn as a part of an ongoing project of the Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society (L-AGS) to transcribe and publish early historical records of Eastern Alameda County. George Anderson and Garrett B. Drummond, also members of L-AGS, have reviewed the transcriptions. Mr. Drummond is the author of "125 Years: A History of the First Presbyterian Church, Livermore, California, 1871-1996," an expanded and updated edition of a book written by Julia A. Kleineke in 1971.
