Some standard questions were dropped, while new ones added. The changes were not without controversy. This census is being digitized by the National Archives and will be available online. It is unlikely there will be a name index available on opening day on April 2, 2012, so initially geographical means for finding people will be necessary. I will discuss the 1940 enumeration and its questions, the online 1940 geographical tools we have produced for the Morse One Step website, and why we wait 72 years to see a US Population Census. http://www.maringensoc.org SMCGS - San Mateo County Genealogical Society Wednesday, February 17, 2010, 7:30 p.m. Speaker: Stephen J.
