As of tonight, 45% of the slots have been booked. Remember that, for the first time this year, discount gate passes are available to your guests who accompany you through the gate. Of course, your own gate pass and parking ticket are free on every day you volunteer. If you haven't volunteered to work at the genealogy booth in the past, you don't know what you are missing. There is so much gratification in helping someone find information about their family. Workshops are being planned to brief you on all you need to know to serve at the booth. Many of those people transcribed and created records valuable to genealogists today. Discover what records were created, where to find them and how to use them. Speaker Biography: Pamela is a genealogical lecturer, educator, and author. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the Genealogical Speaker's Guild, National Genealogical Society and the Association for Gravestone Studies. She has served on the board of several local societies and currently serves as Vice President of the Genealogical & Historical Council of Sacramento Valley, Education Chair for the Roseville Genealogical Society and Regional Director of the California State Genealogical Alliance. She served as Deputy Local Host Arrangements Chair for the National Genealogical Society’s Conference in the States, Sacramento 2004.
