If anyone has a copy of the new Official FTM Guide for version 2005 would they please bring it? Also, please bring your questions, comments, laptop (if you have one) with FTM loaded (any of the later versions) and a friend. Most of our group are FTM users (from beginners - even those who have not yet installed FTM - to experts) who discuss problems and solutions, share successes, answer questions, and in general help each other with the Family Tree Maker genealogical software. Visitors are welcome and there is no charge to attend. _____________________________________________________________________ December General Meeting Date: Tuesday, December 14, 2004 Time: 7:30 p.m. Meeting Location: We will meet at the new Beth Emek Synagogue at 3400 Nevada Court (off Bernal Avenue - just north of the arroyo) in Pleasanton. Dear Members, The next L-AGS general meeting will be on December 14, at the new Temple Beth Emek in Pleasanton, at 7:30 PM. It is most important that we have as many members in attendance as possible because we will be reading the revised Bylaws for the second time, and will need to vote to approve them. A quorum of our membership is required: at least 40 members. We will also being electing officers for the coming year. The theme for the December meeting is "Sharing old Family Recipes". Please bring a couple of family recipes so that we can compile them into a booklet. If you have any histories of these recipes, and why they are favorites, please share with us. Refreshments will be a joint venture with attending members bringing and sharing "finger food" deserts. Bring your favorites! After the first of the year CIG will join with the L-AGS Study Group forming a new group that will study general genealogy topics as well as computer related items that have a link to genealogy. Please join us after the first of the year on the third Thursday of each month. The new group will be called the L-AGS Study Group. _____________________________________________________________________ Holiday Schedule The LDS Family History Center at 950 Mocho Street in Livermore will be closed during the Holidays from December 24th through January 2nd. The schedule will resume on Monday, January 3, 2005. To avoid finding a genealogical research facility closed on the day when you want to make a visit, it is wise to telephone ahead.
