Kim Giuliano, of the San Ramon Parks Dept., will give us some history of the Boone family, descendants of Daniel Boone, who first settled the farm and show a video interview of Ruth Boone, the last resident, who willed the farm to the City of San Ramon. There is even a genealogy chart at the farm tracing the Boone family genealogy. We'll also find out what the future holds for the farm, how it is being developed in a similar manner to Ardenwood Farm in Fremont. Activities held during the year help children & adults alike learn what it was like to live on an early San Ramon Valley farm. There is sheep dog training, a wonderful display of antique tractors, and much of the machinery left from an active walnut processing plant, as well as activities designed to take you back to an earlier time. Come join us to welcome the new year and learn about one of the jewels of our Tri-Valley. Mary Dillon, Program Chairperson For information contact Mary Dillon at mailto:program@L-AGS.org.
