======================================================================== LIVERMORE-AMADOR GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY E-BULLETIN FOR JULY July 1, 2002 ======================================================================== Meeting Un-Reminder The Family Tree Maker group will NOT meet in July. ANNOUNCEMENTS Volunteers Still Needed for Fair Our booth at the Alameda County Fair is very popular. On high-attendance days so far, at least three people were needed to staff the booth, and the highest attendance is yet to come on the long 4th weekend. In addition, we are trying to capitalize on the popularity by extending the hours. We have been open from noon to 4 pm, but have started to lengthen that by two more hours. The shift for each volunteer is then from noon to 3 or from 3 to 6. To see the current calendar of openings go to: http://www.l-ags.org/fair.signup.html Your work at the fair need not involve operating the computers. Others are needed to greet the visitors, answer their questions about L-AGS and genealogy in general, and help them prepare a question to ask of the Internet operators. Volunteers are needed! To enlist, see the instructions on the Web page cited above. - - - - - Membership report Kaye Strickland, Membership Chairperson We currently have 185 memberships comprising 227 individuals New member: Ron Fugazzi, Brentwood ======================================================================== J U L Y M E E T I N G S Visitors are welcome at all of our meetings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ FAMILY TREE MAKER FOCUS GROUP Dick Finn, Acting Leader There will be no FTM Group meeting in July because our regular meeting date falls on Independence Day.
