======================================================================== LIVERMORE-AMADOR GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY E-BULLETIN FOR APRIL April 1, 2002 ======================================================================== Meeting Non-Reminder The Family Tree Maker group will not meet in April because Sonoma School is closed for Easter vacation. - - - - - ANNOUNCEMENTS A surprise! A genealogy researcher at the Pleasanton Library tonight said he had been at the National Archives branch in San Bruno today to look at the 1930 census. I asked if it was mobbed and he said no, on the contrary, half of the microfilm readers were unused. Maybe all the scare talk about the expected crowds kept everyone away. He said NARA had a big cake for patrons to celebrate the debut of the 1930 data. - - - - - Membership Status as of March 26, 2002 Kaye Strickland, Vice President Classification Memberships Individuals Individual 122 122 Family 36 72 Life Membership 7 9 Benefactor 3 4 Honorary/Charter 5 5 Honorary 2 2 Total 175 214 Renewals are still trickling in.
