Kathy started in earnest in 1994, Marston in 1992. They also share an interest in computers and in having a presence on the Internet. Their Watson Family website at http://pw1.netcom.com/~kmwatson/index.html reflects all three of these interests. It includes family photos and it changes to highlight different family lines from time to time. In addition to the "Live Internet" presentation that she gave at the recent California Genealogical Society (CGS) Fair at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds, she is leader of the CGS Computer Interest Group and Webmaster of their webpage. You can get directly to the CGS website at http://www.calgensoc.com/ Drawing on their mutual interest and believing that there is a value to combining family pictures, videos, etc. and preserving all of it on CD- ROM, they purchased equipment and software to form a business called "Genealogy on CD" and recorded Kathy's Todd Family history and pictures as a demonstration of what can be done. The address for this service is appropriate: http://www.kwatson@genealogyoncd.com To quote from this web page "Genealogy on CD is state-of-the-art technology that offers more efficient and cost effective methods for storing and publishing your family history." - - - - - Visitors are welcome at all L-AGS meetings.
