The P-2 classroom is a trailer located behind the main school building. It is best to park in the east parking lot, and walk around the back of the building to the classroom. You can go to the following URL to view a map showing the school and classroom location. http://www.l-ags.org/sonoma.html The reason for moving to this new site location is the availability of a computer projection system and easy access to a telephone line so we can connect to the Internet. We will discuss problems, solutions, and questions anyone has with Family Tree Maker. If you have some specific issue you would like dealt with, send me an email message describing the issue so we can be prepared at the meeting. For further information, call J'Nell Thompson at XXX-XXXX, or email me at XXXX@tdl.com. Non-members are welcome. The usefulness of the Net to genealogists has been so great that genealogy, the second most popular hobby in the country, now accounts for the second biggest use of the Internet, according to unidentified sources. In our own Society, two thirds of the members have access to the Internet. But the Internet can also be a Lorelei, becoming an addictive *alternative* to genealogy, instead of a helpful tool. This program will discuss such generalities, but will also attempt to provide practical how-to advice, tips, examples and useful Internet addresses. Ample time will be provided for realtime surfing, questions and answers, and sharing. Those planning to attend are asked to bring their favorite Web addresses to share. Non-members are welcome to attend at no cost. - - - - - Members needing help with a computer problem may call one of the mentors listed in the Members' Handbook. For information call Doug Mumma at XXX-XXXX or E-mail him at XXXX@mumma.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------- L-AGS WEB QUEST A number of you told me you liked the idea of the monthly quiz about the Internet, but didn't like the idea of competing in a contest. So I will try a different approach: I have posted a few questions this month on our Website, and have put the answers on separate pages on the Website. That way, you can test yourself on each question if you want, then look up the answer, or you can just idly look at the questions and answers. My only request is that I get some feedback, positive or negative. If there is enough interest, I will make it a monthly quiz. The questions can be reached by clicking on the link labeled "Quiz" on the L-AGS home page (http://www.l-ags.org). The answers are reached via links on the quiz page. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- L-AGS Library The L-AGS library is housed in the Pleasanton Library at 400 Old Bernal Avenue in Pleasanton.
